It's official! On January 6, 2015, Broward County Clerk of Courts began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
On Saturday, February 14, 2015, Valentine's Day, the City of Wilton Manors and Broward 100 - Celebrating the Art of Community, in honor of the county's centennial, will host FREE marriage ceremonies for 100 people (50 couples) at Wilton Manors City Hall.
How To We Do!
Step 1: Get your Marriage License from the Broward County Clerk of Courts. If you would like to renew your vows, please follow Step 2 - 4 below.
Step 2: RSVP for one of the following ceremony times, 5:00p 5:30p, or 6:00p
Note: Participation limited to those couples who have RSVP'd
Step 3: You MUST present your marriage license or certificate if renewing to Wilton Manors City Clerk, Kathryn Sims
ASAP by calling (954) 390-2123, by Thursday, Februrary 12!
Office hours of the Wilton Manors City Clerk Office are
Monday-Thursday 7a-6p. If renewing vows please bring your marriage certificate to City Clerk, Kathryn Sims by Thursday February 12!
Step 4: Please arrive at City Hall 20 minutes before your specified ceremony time. Check in with a valid government issued identification. Wilton Manors Mayor Gary Resnick will oversee the event, Commissioner Justin Flippen will serve as officiant and members of the commission and city staff will be present to offer support and serve as witnesses.
Join us for an elegant reception with light refreshments for newlyweds and up to four guests in the Hagen Park Community Center, adjacent to the City Hall Commission Chambers, following your ceremony. Refreshments include a special champagne toast, wedding cake, DJ, special gifts and much more.
